I know what you mean about the scarcity of Muslim girls on television as it's definitely what drew me into the show to begin with. Unfortunately, if you're not a native German speaker and want English subtitles, finding subtitles Türkisch für Anfänger is almost impossible. :P YouTube has the subtitled pilot, which I've posted here (http://community.livejournal.com/iconnaissances/30364.html#cutid1) and there are some very, very rough fansubs here (http://www.viikii.net/channels/goto/tuerkischfuerAnfaenger#) but beyond that it's really hard to find anything. I'm learning German right now so I can follow the basics but I'm just really hoping someone makes good English subs for this show!
