a Sword Play picspam from Jodhaa-Akbar

This for the current challenge at picspammy: Scenes and Sequences. I decided to picspam one of my recent favorite scenes from Jodhaa-Akbar and if you check out the picspam, I think you can figure out why. ;)

I call this the Sexless Sex Scene because daaamn. She just put him through the Mughal-era equivalent of sleeping on the couch and, yet, he is realizing that he is falling head-over-heels in love with her. Together, they work out their (religious/cultural/personality) differences via a swordfight (they're pretty well-matched in terms of skill :D), during which he feels the need to quote Persian poetry to her in the name of love. The scene is totally hot and pretty and I was totally fangasming when I first saw this scene in the theater. :D Thanks to chisakami/andrivete_icons for capping this scene so awesomely!

Please don't use any of the pictures as icon bases.

I so was waiting for someone to cap a Bollywoodscene. There are so many adorable ones and you just chose one of the best :)

There are so many! Bollywood can be just as diverse as Hollywood. So what kind of genres do you like for example?

I agree with sarora; there are a lot of kinds of Bollywood movies and movies are constantly changing (e.g. classic 70's era Bollywood was very different form how it is today) so it depends on what you're into. :D

If you want to start off by watching this movie, Jodhaa-Akbar, and you end up liking it, I might recommend Lagaan because it's another period film by the same director (and it got nominated for the Foreign Film Oscar after it come out :D).

Oooh, Lagaan! I've heard grand things about that one. I love Monsoon Wedding, so well-acted dramas are good, but I also love the semi-cheesy musicals, and I'll watch just about anything if Aishwarya Rai is in it. I've got one of the biggest girlcrushes in the universe on her.
