Well, on Photoshop CS or similar, you create a new layer and then use the Freeform Pen tool (below and to the left of the Text Tool) to create a path around an object (make sure that you uncheck the "Magnetic" option) and then you chage to the Text Tool and click on the path that you create. That way, anything that you type will go in that path instead of being straight.
