iconnaissancesIt's been a while since I've posted anything so I figured I might get rid of a few things on my hard drive. :)
I blame Iroh.org for most of the Avatar icons... the screencaps are too amazing there! :) The Firefly ones involve a very experimental kind of coloring on my part (you can find the tutorial for the steps I used over here). I thought it fit the warm-toned, dusty feel of the show... but tell me what you think. I'll try to make clear icons at another point, but this was fun! Also, I must say that I had too much fun with the promotional pics for the OoTP movie... it's one of my favorites in the series so I do hope they get it right!

#1: I know some spell this just "Yu Yan" but I happen to be partial to Yuu Yan. The extra "u" makes it all, I don't know, exotic. :)
#30: I was listening to "Miss Murder" by AFI when making that one. That does not mean that Mai is depressing and associable with angry music... but you have to admit that she kicks ass!

#15: So apparently, little!Simon in this icon was played by Zac Efron, who then grew up to be in "High School Muscial". Um, well, this is the only song that I can ever remember from that movie, despite having glanced at the movie a couple of times on Disney Channel. Maybe it's because of that "nerdy" girl who dances to hip-hop. She makes me LOL because stereotypes are for losers. Also, it's a very Simon thing to say, right? XD
-Harry Potter:
#7: Something about Fleur's expression in that cap always cracks me up. ALWAYS.
#9-11: Y HELLO THAR OTP OF MY HEART. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
#17: This is what happens when I make HP and Firefly icons at the same time. Same goes for #10 of Heroes... although I don't know if that quote is as popular (I think Mal said it in the Pilot or something. Definitely one of the episodes I capped...).
