Period vs. Modern: Compare/Contrast

What I like to do is see how someone might manage two very different roles, especially if one of those roles is for a character in a period piece. So, this picspam is going to contrast the period and modern roles of 20 actors/actresses from various countries. Although the costumes and hair immediately come to mind, I also tried to look at other aspects, such as cultural norms and body language, that might have required the actor/actress to approach the roles differently. And as someone who watches TVD, those photos of Nina Dobrev remind me of how much sexier and more interesting Katherine is than Elena (imho). Part of it's the hair, part of it's the saccharine, sociopathic attitude.

I like both of them for different reason but I get what you mean. Nina Dobrev is really good at making them very different characters. :D

EEEEEEE *TACKLEGLOMPS* So much LOVE for this - especially starting out with bollywood and Aamir Khan and Lagaan (\o/) But beautifully balanced coverage of both TV & cinema as well as asian and western actors.
