- I've icon-ed some parts of this Bollywood movie called Om Shanti Om, which was seriously the crackiest Indian movie I've seen in my life. #9 in that set has the message of the movie, BTW, to give you an idea of the crackiness. XD

- The "drawings" for the Avatar icons were made by me and my loyal mouse (this is also, BTW, the full extent of my artistic abilities so I apologize if you can't even recognize any of the characters). :) If you want a pairing that I've forgotten (consisting of the characters I've already drawn), let me know.
- Apparently, what I meant by promising House icons for this post was Firefly/Serenity icons. I was in a Firefly mood! (Plus I still need to catch up on House D:)

Today happens to be Gandhi Jayanthi, the day that Mohandas K. Gandhi, known as Mahatma Gandhi, was born. If you're one of those lucky ducks currently reading this from India, enjoy your national holiday off! :) But for the rest of you, the U.N. has proclaimed today to be the International Day of Non-Violence in his memory. And, so, to pay tribute to this inspiring historical figure, I've made Mahatma Gandhi icons, both of the man himself as well as of quotations of his that still can guide people today, as it has for other figures like Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, and the Dalai Lama. I hope you enjoy these and perhaps learn something about his philosophy. I've even provided links to his writings and other media if you even more curious to learn about him! :)

There is a Facebook group called Neville Longbottom is a BAMF and they've come up with a list of Neville's awesomeness that was just so awesome that I had to icon the facts. I mean, the main list is not your average cut-and-paste list of Chuck Norris jokes as they are quite HP-specific. The credit for the text belongs to their respective creators at the FB group!

Also, I decided to try making a few wallpapers. I have a widescreen laptop, though, so I've provided both 1280x800 and 1024x786 dimensions.

Happy July, everybody! :)

I only have two fandoms here for this post! Unfortunately, this summer has been really busy for me so my iconning time is very limited. Chances are, this post will be one of my last for a long time as I will be off to India for most of July and all of August. But do enjoy the icons here... I'm really proud of the way they've turned out!

So, as you can tell, my new Heroes OTP is Mohinder/Sylar. Also, Wilson on amphetamines is quite hilarious. As for the Rasputin icons, well, Rasputin was kind of cooler in RL (especially during his assassination) and I look at all these icon sets of the Anastasia movie and I'm like, "Dude, where's Rasputin?" I also made an icon of the cute little Tzarevich in #12 because that boy, despite the fact that his death in comparison to Rasputin's was kind of crappy, gets major brownie points for being mentioned as a hemophiliac in practically every introductory biology book, under the discussion of sex-chromosome disorders. I'm pretty sure he's been mentioned in at least two bio tests for me, and that makes him pretty cool. :)

This is a meme that I stole from helium_icons and, since finals have more or less ended and I'll be essentially done with my first year at college by 12:00-ish tomorrow and also because I get insane pleasures from looking at profiles and such, I'm ready to do this. :)
